The research “Problems of Labor Relations in the Media Sphere” was published last week. It presents the main directions of labor law violations in the media: absence of a contract, unpaid overtime work, etc.

Arevik Sahakyan, the executive director of Factor TV, agrees with the main assertion of the research that the labor rights of journalists are weakly protected in Armenia. According to Arevik Sahakyan, this is “puzzling, because we, the journalists, ourselves are always busy recording various violations in different spheres and raising our voices about it.”
