International Committee of the Red Cross is actively using social networks and virtual environments to spread its humanitarian ideas.
International Committee of the Red Cross Digital Officer, Nora Livet considers social networks to be a good means for organizing campaigns and spreading true stories to people.
“We help people’s stories to be heard by the world,” she said.
Nora Livet tells us that recently a program has been created which presents facts through an emotional and visible virtual room. You enter a child’s room in a country at war, and you follow the changes in real-time mode.
That helps to break the barrier of indifference and introduce complex themes in an interactive way.
