The absolute majority of words and phrases searched on Google from Armenia in the past seven days had to do with the visit of Kim Kardashian and her family to Yerevan.
The search terms “kanye west”, “kim kardashyan”, “qim qardashyan’, and “ким кардашьян” experienced growth greater than 5000% — what Google calls “Breakout“.
Kanye West topped the list and exceeded his wife in terms of number of searches from Armenia.
The search terms “kim kardashian” and “kardashian” experienced a growth of more than 2000%.
Results from the past seven days on Google Image Search were exclusively of Kim Kardashian. Search terms “kardashian” and “kim kardashian” experienced “breakout” growth.
During the days of the Kardashians’ visit, interest toward Armenia grew exponentially also on Twitter. Kanye West’s surprise concert at Yerevan’s Swan Lake late Sunday night was the pinnacle of this.
According to a tweet by Kim Kardashian, Armenia was among the worldwide trends on Twitter.
