The story about Turkish-backed fighters in Caucasus made headlines as journalists were receiving confirmations from various sources.
Ankara and Baku repeatedly and categorically denied these accusations.
But multiple testimonies and visual evidence obtained by journalists and researchers leave little room for denying the deployment of Syrian fighters to Azerbaijan. By collecting and combining evidence, Media.am reconstructed the path that the mercenaries took to reach the South Caucasus.
