Physicist by education, journalist by occupation

According to Boris Navasardyan, the President of the Yerevan Press Club, the NA elections were held in an environment of a higher level of media freedom. This is evidenced by monitoring carried out during several stages.

In his opinion, the reason for the unlawfulness of television regulation in previous years was that we have political channels, which should be ruled out by law.

“Speaking of today’s black and white vocabulary, one can say that there are media outlets that can be called revanchist and there are obvious supporters of the new government,” said Boris Navasardyan.

In the end, the media should be able to survive without oligarchic money, but the important thing is that there is an opportunity to act freely.

“Journalists working with professional norms have no reason to be afraid and feel liberated,” said Boris Navasardyan.
