May 3 is World Press Freedom Day. It was proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in 1993.
In 2015, the theme of World Press Freedom Day is “Let Journalism Thrive! Towards Better Reporting, Gender Equality, and Media Safety in the Digital Age”.
