Various international organizations describe the changes made in the field of media legislation in Armenia in the last few years as regressive.
The leaders of the Armenian media organizations are convinced that it is necessary to have a concept of changes in the media legislation for the development of the information sphere, on the basis of which the legislative field should be changed.
The Chairman of the Committee to Protect Freedom of Expression, Ashot Melikyan, says that next week ten non-governmental organizations working in the field of media will sign a memorandum of cooperation with the representatives of the legislative and executive bodies of Armenia.
“I hope we will be able to cooperate. I’m not convinced, but I have hope,” said Ashot Melikyan.
