And no matter how alluring the collections of the museums of famous people, fine arts, and history, the number of barriers \u2014 &#8220;Don&#8217;t touch,&#8221; &#8220;Don&#8217;t sit,&#8221; &#8220;Don&#8217;t talk,&#8221; &#8220;No photos allowed&#8221; \u2014 that might evoke the word &#8220;museum&#8221; in visitors&#8217; minds have been just as repelling.
