However, those infected with coronavirus have a much higher risk of developing a blood clot\u2024 According to the study, one-fifth of the patients hospitalized with COVID had thrombus symptoms<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The study was conducted from March 22 to June 6, including the symptoms and results of 220 confirmed and possible hospitalized cases in the UK.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This topic would not be so relevant if the big scandal over the &#8220;AstraZeneca&#8221; vaccine, which was first imported in Armenia, had not continued. Moreover, the noise is present both in our country and all over the world.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The first batch of Astra <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.moh.am\/?fbclid=IwAR04-EuZfYtKLXR1zqHu88TZ5zKFPmCUcKX1aojMnUNeWRgfzMm9VZ8GWVs#1\/3706\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">entered<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Armenia on March 28, 2021, but before that, the local press <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/watch\/?v=443059113611504\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">reported<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> that the world was rejecting the vaccine to avoid serious health problems. The cause was blood clots and deaths in those vaccinated in several countries almost simultaneously. This was followed by the comments of Armenian Facebook users that &#8220;the whole world is rejecting AstraZeneca, and we are bringing it to us.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Let&#8217;s start from the beginning<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The roots of the story go back to March of this year when people vaccinated with AstraZeneca were hospitalized in different countries at risk of blood clots.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Philip Nicholson, a hematologist at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/d41586-021-02291-2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">was one of the first<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> to notice unusual blood clots in young people, which is rare, especially on platelets (platelets are very small plates that help the blood to coagulate).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-29354 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/gavi-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1000\" srcset=\"https:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/gavi-1.jpg 2000w, https:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/gavi-1-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/gavi-1-1024x512.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/gavi-1-768x384.jpg 768w, https:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/gavi-1-1536x768.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 2000px) 100vw, 2000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 11px\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Image from gavi.org<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Nicholson&#8217;s phenomenon is now referred to by experts as &#8220;vaccine-induced immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia (VITT).&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Despite intensive research, the link between vaccines and VITT is still unclear. Identifying the link between them and identifying the causes will help prevent and treat unwanted side effects while improving the quality and effectiveness of future vaccines.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8220;You may have your theories, but how do you know which of them is causing the effect, which can affect up to 1 in 100,000 people,&#8221; said John Calton, a hematologist at McMaster University in Canada.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The use of &#8220;AstraZeneca&#8221; was temporarily <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/news\/2021\/3\/15\/which-countries-have-halted-use-of-astrazenecas-covid-vaccine\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">frozen<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> in 21 countries around the world.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In fact, the countries did not give up and completely rejected AstraZeneca, but, due to known circumstances, temporarily suspended its use in order to prove the safety of the material.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The vaccine was temporarily rejected by Sweden, Latvia, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Luxembourg, Cyprus, Portugal, Slovenia, Indonesia, the Netherlands, Ireland, Bulgaria, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, New Zealand, Thailand, Romania, Iceland, Denmark, Norway, Austria.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In most of the countries on the list, the freezing lasted about 2 weeks, in some cases several days. Officials said the vaccine would work again when an investigation by the European Medicines Agency proves its safety. Experts from Spain, the Netherlands and Britain took part in the study, studying the experience of 1,372,213 vaccinated people in Catalonia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Bringing it all together:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The world has not given up on AstraZeneca.
