He conditioned this reality with the intervention of Azerbaijan\u2024 Nazaryan considered this a &#8220;joint crime&#8221; of Azerbaijan and Google, &#8220;which would not have happened if we had real power.&#8221; However, the problem presented as news is old.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">What is the issue?<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In mid-August, Gegham Nazaryan, a member of the Armenia Alliance, wrote, &#8220;Azerbaijan has agreed with Google and jointly decided on which roads we can travel in our country and which not, thanks to the inaction, weakness, and many other reasons of the current regime in Armenia.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">As an example he brought up the region of Tavush as an example\u2024 To get to Baghanis from Achajur village, Google Map offers to go through Lori. The proposed road bypasses the Azerbaijani enclaves in the Tavush region and offers a longer route.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This problem is not new. The problem of the same section of the road, for example, was <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/GoogleMapsArmenia\/posts\/3395761330496078\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">published<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> in January 2020 in the &#8220;Google Maps Armenia&#8221; group. User Narek Saroyan wrote, &#8220;Google Navigation has completely forgotten the Yerevan-Dilijan-Voskepar-Noyemberyan road, probably part of the road passes through Azerbaijan (according to their map) and that&#8217;s why.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Moreover, the same problem exists in the south of Armenia, in the Tigranashen community of the Ararat region. The map does not offer the road passing through Tigranashen to reach Areni from Yerevan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-29237\" src=\"http:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/maps2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"405\" height=\"855\" srcset=\"https:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/maps2.jpg 405w, https:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/maps2-142x300.jpg 142w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 405px) 100vw, 405px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In the same way, the map with the Armenian Artsvashen under the control of Azerbaijan does not offer a road option.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-29239\" src=\"http:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/maps3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"405\" height=\"855\" srcset=\"https:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/maps3.jpg 405w, https:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/maps3-142x300.jpg 142w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 405px) 100vw, 405px\" \/><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The government is aware of this problem<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Two years ago, on December 18, 2019, the then Minister of High Technology Industry Hakob Arshakyan <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.panarmenian.net\/arm\/news\/276199\/?fbclid=IwAR1KCATMwuFxSSjo3mtavQePnIcWUOwFxEAtf12iMjy2Hy4tNKcrpaxmjYs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">stated<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> that Armenia was trying to solve the inaccuracies and problems arising during the use of Google Maps, PayPal and YouTube in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8220;When the road is plotted on Google Maps, it shows Azerbaijani enclaves in Armenia, particularly in the Noyemberyan area, which is a serious problem for both tourists and from a political perspective,&#8221; he said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It turns out that the problem raised by &#8220;Armenia Alliance&#8221; bloc MP Gegham Nazaryan, the lack of a shorter route on the maps, actually exists.
