



{"id":25883,"date":"2021-01-15T14:10:49","date_gmt":"2021-01-15T14:10:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/media.am\/?p=25883"},"modified":"2021-01-17T15:17:38","modified_gmt":"2021-01-17T15:17:38","slug":"there-will-be-changes-in-the-list-of-broadcast-channels","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/media.am\/en\/newsroom\/2021\/01\/15\/25883\/","title":{"rendered":"There Will Be Changes In The List Of Broadcast Channels"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">From 2021 Public TV, &#8220;Armenia,&#8221; &#8220;Yerkir Media,&#8221; &#8220;Shant,&#8221; &#8220;A-TV&#8221; &#8220;Kentron&#8221; and &#8220;\u0420\u0422\u0420-\u041f\u043b\u0430\u043d\u0435\u0442\u0430&#8221; will be broadcast throughout Armenia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">On January 14 and 15, the Commission on Television and Radio\u00a0 (<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/tvradio.am\/2021\/01\/15\/%d5%ac%d5%ab%d6%81%d5%a5%d5%b6%d5%a6%d5%a1%d5%be%d5%b8%d6%80%d5%b4%d5%a1%d5%b6-%d5%b0%d5%a1%d5%b6%d6%80%d5%a1%d5%ba%d5%a5%d5%bf%d5%a1%d5%af%d5%a1%d5%b6-%d6%87-%d5%b4%d5%a1%d5%b5%d6%80%d5%a1%d6%84\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">CTR<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">) summed up the results of the licensing (slot) competition for regional, national and capital broadcasters in the public multiplex. This competition will decide according to the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/media.am\/en\/newsroom\/2020\/09\/18\/24101\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">new rules<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> which channels will be in the public multiplex during the next seven years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The members of the CTR presented the rating points live, according to which the applications of the TV companies were evaluated. The criteria are as follows \u2024<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The dominance of own production programs<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The dominance of Armenian programs<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The ability to promote pluralism<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Technical and financial capabilities<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Professional training of the staff<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Priority of programs aimed at the recognition and strengthening of national, universal, caring, lasting cultural values.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The maximum amount of rating points is 840. And the minimum, which if not surpassed, the TV company is excluded from the licensing competition, is 280 points (one-third of the maximum).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">And since the sum of the points will automatically determine which channel will receive which broadcast slot (many points will provide the national broadcast slot, fewer will provide the capital slot), the list of ratings turned out like this \u2024<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8220;Armenia&#8221; (&#8220;Armenia TV&#8221; CJSC) &#8211; 713,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8220;Yerkir Media&#8221; (&#8220;Husaber&#8221; CJSC) &#8211; 688,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8220;Shant&#8221; (&#8220;Shant&#8221; LLC) &#8211; 680,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8220;A-TV&#8221; (&#8220;A TV&#8221; LLC) &#8211; 670,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8220;Kentron TV&#8221; (&#8220;Multi Media Center TV&#8221; CJSC) &#8211; 663,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8220;The 5th Channel&#8221; (&#8220;Shark&#8221; LLC) &#8211; 657,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8220;H2&#8221; &#8211; 626,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8220;ArmNews&#8221; (&#8220;ArmNews CJSC&#8221;) &#8211; 613,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8220;A1+&#8221; (&#8220;Meltex&#8221; LLC) &#8211; 545,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8220;Freenews&#8221; (&#8220;Free News&#8221; LLC) &#8211; 531,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There are 5 national distribution slots, 7 in the capital. Therefore, those who occupy the first five places will receive a nationwide distribution slot.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It was previously announced that there were 6 nationwide distribution slots in the public multiplex and 9 in the capital. But on December 30, 2020, an agreement on cooperation in the field of mass telecommunications was signed between the governments of Armenia and Russia, and three slots in the public multiplex were allocated to Russian TV channels: &#8220;\u0420\u0422\u0420-\u041f\u043b\u0430\u043d\u0435\u0442\u0430&#8221; will be broadcast throughout Armenia, and &#8220;\u0420\u043e\u0441\u0441\u0438\u044f-\u041a\u0443\u043b\u044c\u0442\u0443\u0440\u0430&#8221; and the &#8220;\u041f\u0435\u0440\u0432\u044b\u0439 \u043a\u0430\u043d\u0430\u043b. \u0412\u0441\u0435\u043c\u0438\u0440\u043d\u0430\u044f \u0421\u0435\u0442\u044c&#8221; in Yerevan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Thus the number of slots decreased.\u00a0 Public Television of Armenia will also receive a nationwide slot without a competition.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">CTR has not yet announced its final decision, but according to ratings, Public, Armenia, Yerkir Media, Shant, A-TV and Kentron will be broadcast throughout Armenia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In general, two TV companies were left out of the competition, which claimed exclusively for national broadcasting slots and did not imagine that they could be broadcast only in Yerevan. They are &#8220;h2&#8221; and &#8220;A1+.&#8221; Although the points collected by the two were enough for the capital&#8217;s distribution slot, they will not receive air. Both channels wanted the maximum, which they did not get.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">As a result, &#8220;TV 5,&#8221; &#8220;ArmNews,&#8221; &#8220;Freenews&#8221; will have coverage in the capital. They will also be joined by the TV companies that have only applied for the capital slot and gained enough points. They are: &#8220;Dar 21&#8221; (&#8220;Dar-21&#8221; CJSC) &#8211; 492 points, &#8220;Arpi Media&#8221; (formerly cable TV channel) &#8211; 542 points, &#8220;New Armenia&#8221; (&#8220;Mo TV Media Holding&#8221; CJSC ) &#8211; 463 points.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8220;Shant Sport&#8221; channel (&#8220;Shant&#8221; LLC) is the only one that did not collect enough points (216) and was left out of the capital slot competition.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Public Television, which had previously submitted an application, refused to participate in the competition that wanted to establish <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/media.am\/en\/newsroom\/2020\/11\/18\/25080\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">a new news channel<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, and &#8220;1in.am.&#8221;\u00a0 &#8220;Ar&#8221; TV company also did not participate in the competition.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After presenting the points, CTR President Tigran Hakobyan said, &#8220;I hope that the licensed TV companies will feel their social mission, will broadcast the diversity of public needs, will meet the high technical and production standards and will recognize the role of television cognition and knowledge dissemination.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">And on January 14, the regional slots competition was summed up, according to which one channel from each region will find a place in the public multiplex of Armenia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8220;Delta TV&#8221; will get a slot in the Aragatsotn region, which scored 674 points, and &#8220;Progress Media&#8221; &#8211; 619.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The winner in Armavir is &#8220;Aranea&#8221; (435), &#8220;ALT&#8221; TV editorial office scored 292 points.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Three TV companies had submitted applications at once in Lori. &#8220;Fortuna&#8221; &#8211; 673, &#8220;Lori TV&#8221; &#8211; 529, &#8220;Corner Plus 3&#8221; &#8211; 482 scored the most points.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The leader in Shirak is &#8220;Tsayg&#8221; with 589 points, &#8220;Shant team&#8221; collected 492.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8220;Zangezur&#8221; will get a slot in Syunik &#8211; 573 points. In Tavush, &#8220;Tavush Media&#8221; &#8211; 502 points.
