Among the wounded, as it was falsely claimed, was an ethnic Armenian. This piece of disinformation was spread not only on social media. The short report <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Vigw3a8DZ_o&amp;ab_channel=AZTV\">is titled<\/a> \u201cAn Armenian woman injured in the shelling of Ganja Armenians called on AzTV.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The name of the wounded varied from source to source &#8211; Karina Grigoryan, or Nina Qriqoryan.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-24481 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Screenshot-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"6705\" height=\"2461\" srcset=\"https:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Screenshot-1.png 6705w, https:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Screenshot-1-300x110.png 300w, https:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Screenshot-1-1024x376.png 1024w, https:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Screenshot-1-768x282.png 768w, https:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Screenshot-1-1536x564.png 1536w, https:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Screenshot-1-2048x752.png 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 6705px) 100vw, 6705px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Apart from the Azerbaijani sources, no other international media outlet claimed the woman to be an ethnic Armenian*. Instead, Hovhannes Nikoghosyan\u2019s tweet <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hnikogh\/status\/1312868837667352579?s=20\">suggests<\/a> something very different. \u201cAppears she is in fact<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Russian?src=hashtag_click\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> #Russian<\/a> Nina Grigorenko from Ukraine. No<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Armenians?src=hashtag_click\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> #Armenians<\/a> in Azerbaijan since 1990\u201d, &#8211; he writes.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">There are so many falsehoods flooding from <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Azerbaijan?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Azerbaijan<\/a> that sometimes you find it unreasonable even to react. E.g. fake &#8216;Armenian&#8217; living in <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Ganja?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Ganja<\/a>\/<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Gence?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Gence<\/a>. Appears she is in fact <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Russian?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Russian<\/a> Nina Grigorenko from Ukraine. No <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Armenians?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Armenians<\/a> in Azerbaijan since 1990.<\/p>\n<p>Every life matters! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/0eS4Yk5QTX\">pic.twitter.com\/0eS4Yk5QTX<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Hovhannes Nikoghosyan (@hnikogh) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hnikogh\/status\/1312868837667352579?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 4, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>He posted a screenshot to back his claim, in which we see \u201cEkaterina Voronina\u201d\u2019s post in the \u201c\u0421\u0442\u0430\u0440\u044b\u0439 \u0411\u0430\u043a\u0443\u201d (Old Baku) public group on Facebook. She wrote in Russian that the injured woman is her ex-mother-in-law. Her full and real name is Nina Romanovna Grigorenk, not \u201cGrigoryan\u201d as she was introduced at the hospital. She claimed that the injured woman is Russian, not Armenian, and called on others to help in clarifying her identity.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As proof of her statement, she posted 3 pictures: two of which were screenshots of the false reports and another photo is the woman in Ukraine.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Currently, this post is not available in the group, but media.am found additional confirmation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>There is an account \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/shoma.ekaterina\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ekaterina Voronina<\/a>\u201d on Facebook. Although very little information is publicly available on it, our research shows she is a member of the same public group \u201c\u0421\u0442\u0430\u0440\u044b\u0439 \u0411\u0430\u043a\u0443,\u201d where she writes posts from time to time.<\/li>\n<li>As in the mentioned screenshot, so on the other posts we found, she writes in Russian.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-24483 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Screenshot-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"539\" height=\"652\" srcset=\"https:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Screenshot-2.png 539w, https:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Screenshot-2-248x300.png 248w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 539px) 100vw, 539px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On her Facebook friends list, we found a user \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/profile.php?id=100003709550318\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nadezhda Grigorenko<\/a>\u201d with the same surname as her allegedly ex-mother-in-law.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-24485 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Screenshot-3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"848\" height=\"557\" srcset=\"https:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Screenshot-3.png 848w, https:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Screenshot-3-300x197.png 300w, https:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Screenshot-3-768x504.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 848px) 100vw, 848px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><strong>Arshaluys Barseghyan<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>*<\/strong>Updated on October 6, at 10:00am. <em>After our publication we learnt that the journalist from Russian TV Rain, currently working in Azerbaijan, had talked to the wounded woman and <\/em><\/span><em><a href=\"https:\/\/tvrain.ru\/teleshow\/here_and_now\/vojna_v_karabahe-517120\/?fbclid=IwAR3WNFB9od9HtIbPBsd3D9aqOcZV8yzVBUgJVzDHdWV9ADuJYTFW-c0L6oY\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">found out<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that she is half-Ploish, half-Jaw, half-Armenian.
