Media outlets and&nbsp; Facebook groups with tens of thousands of followers spread it without verification.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The page &#8220;Anna Petrosyan&#8221; has political content<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The page named &#8220;Anna Petrosyan&#8221; shares a limited number of personal photos or information\u2024 Most of its content is political. On the cover of the page is a picture of Robert Kocharyan. The name of the page: &#8220;Anna Petrosyan&#8221; and user ID&nbsp; &#8220;anna.sanoyan.9,&#8221; do not match.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-23801 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/textbook-1.jpg\" alt=\"\u0531\u0576\u0576\u0561 \u054a\u0565\u057f\u0580\u0578\u057d\u0575\u0561\u0576 \u0567\u057b\" width=\"1640\" height=\"788\" srcset=\"https:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/textbook-1.jpg 1640w, https:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/textbook-1-300x144.jpg 300w, https:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/textbook-1-1024x492.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/textbook-1-768x369.jpg 768w, https:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/textbook-1-1536x738.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1640px) 100vw, 1640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Although the identity of the user was not clear, and the page was political, the post was immidiately spread by a number of media outlets without mentioning political sympathies and without verification. This media included &#8220;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.168.am\/blog\/291361.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">168 Hours<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,&#8221; <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.7or.am\/am\/news\/view\/195668\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">7or.am<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/my.mamul.am\/am\/post\/94518\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">mamul.am<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/lurer.com\/?p=382931&amp;l=am\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">lurer.com<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/blognews.am\/arm\/news\/704180\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">blognews.am<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> etc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At least eight Facebook groups, some of which have more than 100,000 followers, also shared the post. Two such pages, which shared the post on &#8220;Sexual Health ABC,&#8221; shared other similarities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hayastan\u2024info and Arminfo pages both use Pashinyan&#8217;s pictures and almost simultaneously share the publications of the mushroom website 1in.tejlurer.online. Both pages have two admins in Armenia and one in Georgia.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-23805 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/textbook-3.jpg\" alt=\"\u0556\u0565\u0575\u057d\u0562\u0578\u0582\u0584 \u0569\u0561\u0583\u0561\u0576\u0581\u056b\u056f\" width=\"1552\" height=\"628\" srcset=\"https:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/textbook-3.jpg 1552w, https:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/textbook-3-300x121.jpg 300w, https:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/textbook-3-1024x414.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/textbook-3-768x311.jpg 768w, https:\/\/media.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/textbook-3-1536x622.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1552px) 100vw, 1552px\" \/><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was disinformation: The book is an old edition and is not included in the school curriculum<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Infocheck.am talked to the book&#8217;s co-author, obstetrician-gynecologist Mary Khachikyan, and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/infocheck.am\/am\/posts\/425?fbclid=IwAR0M1G3SaMa7O0cH2zzP9l1UpTMwZS7D__rDBm77ToBqzewhWS8oPSAteI4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">found out<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that the book was published in 1999. It was not intended for a school curriculum; it was provided to participants over the age of 16 in a professional seminar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Zhanna Andreasyan, the Deputy Minister of Education and Science, also <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/100001535604839\/posts\/3457906357603850\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">touched upon<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the topic on her Facebook page. She mentioned that \u201cthe booklet is not included in the school curriculum, just as no subject called sex education is included\u201d.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Random books are being presented as a &#8220;sex education&#8221; textbooks<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is not the first time that old or unintended books have been attempted to be presented as &#8220;sex education&#8221; textbooks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the same way<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Facebook user Davit Atanesyan <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/media.am\/en\/verified\/2020\/05\/27\/21653\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">announced<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that children, including his son, were being given &#8220;blasphemous books&#8221; in May. Atanesyan saw a political implication in the case. It was a book published in Russia in 2007, which was not intended for children at all. Later, Atanesyan&#8217;s son confessed that he had found the book in the yard.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In another case, Sona Aghekyan, a former member of the Yerevan City Council, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Sona80.aghekyan\/posts\/2777684752518764\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">posted<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> photos from a book and wrote &#8220;Well, dear parents,get ready.&#8221; Later it turned out that the book was published in 1992 and there is no reason to claim that it would now become part of the school curriculum.
