In Director of RFE\/RL’s Armenian service Hrayr Tamrazyan’s opinion, the police could’ve continued the investigation since the young man clearly violated the law.<\/p>\n
“That young man hindered a journalist’s work. And that should’ve had some legal consequences \u2014 the young man at least should’ve been subject to some administrative fine. But perhaps the police knows more than us,” he says. <\/p>\n
Tamrazyan likewise doesn’t expect anything to change from appealing the police decision.<\/p>\n
“We can appeal, but we believe it’ll lead to the same outcome. In addition, court processes consume both time and energy. We don’t want to be drawn into court battles. In any case, I hope that such incidents won’t be repeated in the next elections,” he says.<\/p>\n
