And many would read the newspaper from the last page.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Meanwhile, in the 1960\u2019s, the Armenian press in Constantinople referred to the sex symbol of that time. In the 17th issue of Time daily (April 1967), two photos of well-known blonde celebrity, Hollywood actress Jayne Mansfield were placed on two different pages.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Judging from the publication, Time is simply introducing Mansfield to their readers, calling her one of Hollywood\u2019s bombs.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh5.googleusercontent.com\/BqgUd0_NuOEgcRkz00XmtwMoK2NVQlSCqoVA3YEV3hzws_VtTdba70kN8dXIe6U4JNtt0m9SkIenLsuE6XYn0qhFW1y3A7d4ebWbsPeK7t-kcyB4O_nzCu91PHQdc1LhzYXP-ZSX\" \/><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The first photo is captioned as follows: \u201cOne of the well-known bombs of the American stage, Jayne Mansfield, who recently lost her popularity in the music world and was not allowed to sing in London, where she was touring.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">On the next page, the newspaper explains what the British motivation was to ban the London concert. The caption written under a photo where you can find Mansfield in an attractive pose is, \u201cHere is the position, a cinematic artist who created a storm in Hollywood circles.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/XHOfhghTdHZdJsx23Whljp0Bg1tawwzrTAy9WOfKfXJUdGzShg5tZ-Z8gcC2NT2ZA9Y38YSSUn4Gy43gZOJbae0oCEHSHfJ2NoOe7ZaoSzsPVjj7I8MOUxZrpDXKUvpzXs930WbD\" \/><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">By the way, Jayne Mansfield died in June of the same year, 1967, in a car accident.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">As can be assumed by this issue of Time newspaper, the Istanbul had, in the language of today, lifestyle pages, in its press since the 60\u2019s.
